Roof Repairs

Missing, buckling and curling shingles indicate that your roof is in need of attention. This type of damage can cause serious problems if they are not repaired quickly.

Leaks and wet spots on the ceiling are an obvious sign that you need to call a roofer as soon as possible. If you have an attic that you use just for storage, make sure to check it every so often for damp or dark spots especially after stormy weather and immediately call a roofer if you see leaks or staining.

Don’t wait until it’s leaking, call Today!

Roof Replacement

A roof replacement should be performed by a qualified roofing contractor with the skills, experience, and knowledge of the best quality materials to use. Going with a roofing contractor promising a cheap roof replacement is a likely sign you’re going to receive a low-quality product and have recurring roofing problems for years to come.

By replacing your roof, you’re protecting your property from structural damage.  We use a comprehensive roof analysis and inspection to assess any damage and help you decide if a roof replacement is the best option. No matter what your budget is, we can find the best roofing system for you.

Wind Damage

If you’ve had a recent wind storm, you may have noticed some missing roof shingles and you’re wondering;

“Will my roof leak with one shingle missing?”

Most of the time, when you see a missing shingle, you’re looking at one of the tabs on a 3-tab shingle.

If one shingle tab blew off your roof – you have a 1 in 3 chance that the missing shingle was sitting directly above an open seam between the shingles below.

Without that top shingle in place to shed water, you’ll have an unprotected gap between the lower shingles.

That doesn’t mean that you will immediately see water pouring through the ceiling into your living room.

That's because… below the shingles is a layer of felt paper.

This felt paper may repel some of the water...temporarily.

However, even with the moderate level of protection provided by felt paper your roof needs immediate attention.

Because a missing shingle left unfixed, could lead to a much bigger roof leak – especially in heavy rain.

Hail Damage

Here are several ways hail affects your roof.

Loose Shingle Granules

Hail can cause the little flecks of ceramic on shingles, otherwise known as the granules, to loosen and fall off. You  may have seen these piling up in your gutters or at the bottom of your downspouts.

While this might not seem like a big deal, enough missing granules can expose the asphalt coating below. When that happens, leaks are likely not far away, as the exposed shingle can only hold up to the weather for so long after that.

Hail Impacts

These small depressions on the roof occur where large hail stones directly strike the surface. The impact points are typically soft, like a bruise on an apple and can significantly shorten the life of your roof.

Loose, Broken, or Missing Shingles

Impact from hail stones can also cause shingles to crack, which can quickly lead to shingle loss. When high winds blow shingles up and then hail hits the shingles edge it can crack shingles.

Cracked Fiberglass Mat

Sometime, an impact will be so severe that it will damage the fiberglass mat below the asphalt surface. This kind of damage isn’t always apparent, but it can lead to water infiltration over time.

All of these types of damage will significantly lower the life expectancy of your roof. It can also depreciate the value of your home, come up during a home inspection if your selling the house, cause leaks that often occur years after the initial damage and hinder your ability to get a policy with a new insurance carrier.
